Blue Birds Class

24 Months - 4Years

During this active learning process, toddlers are encouraged to discover the world around them by exploring and playing (“active participatory learning”). Toddlers are beginning to understand group play and communicate their thoughts.

Our main emphasis for this age group is language development. We work hard at turning our ideas into words and sentences.  Social skills are also introduced such as sharing and taking turns.  Your child will gain confidence, self-esteem, and a love of learning.

Our preschool curriculum introduces language, math, science, and social skills in a logical natural sequence to encourage learning one step at a time.  We provide plenty of individual attention to support your child's learning needs.  Children are encouraged to explore and are challenged to learn while making friends and developing self-confidence.

In this classroom, we will be working on the children’s fine motor skills through various art activities and regulating their emotions with Second Step concepts. We will also teach the children to spell their names and showing inquiries through scientific exploration. The children will know how to trace their names, shapes, and count and recognize their numbers.

Infant/young toddlers (3 Months - 24 Months)

The Infant Curriculum is based on the principle that children learn best through direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. Every infant is unique.  We follow your infants individual rhythm for feeding, sleeping, and playful interaction to mirror your patterns at home.

The experiences your child has during the early months and years of life are critical to healthy brain development.  We sing, read, and talk to your child to help with this critical development.  Romper Room is a fun, nurturing, and creative environment for infants that helps their minds and bodies develop.
